The newest generation of the industry’s most dependable pickup truck is the strongest Silverado yet, delivering segment-best power and fuel economy. The new Silverado is built on an all-new platform that supports a smoother ride and responsive, confident handling while delivering segment-leading capability and power. a lineup of six powerful Gen IV small-block V8 engines complements the stronger chassis to deliver the light-duty segment’s highest rated towing capacity (10,500lbs.), horsepower (367) and fuel economy (20mpg/highway), with a maximum payload of 2,160lbs.These factors plus a roomier, more comfortable cabin, led Motor Trend Magazine to name the new Silverado ‘Pickup Truck of the Year’. J.D. Power & Associates had the 2006 Silverado at the top of the Large Pickup category, and the heavy-duty models tied for 2 nd place with GMC Sierra.

The all-new Silverado’s exterior design delivers on it reputation as the industry’s strongest, most dependable and longest-lasting pickup truck. It has a broad, chiseled face, which accents a broad-shouldered stance and gives Silverado a powerful, muscular presence. The front-end appearance is unique to Silverado, including the front fenders, grille, headlamps, bumpers, power dome hood, tail lamps, box design and flared fenders.A larger grille, wider and taller than before, and a prominent gold bow tie are flanked by premium-look, reflector-optics headlamps. The power dome hood rises from the front end, alluding to the workhorse power plant beneath it, and the fast 57-degree sloped windshield conveys improved fuel economy due to enhanced aerodynamics. The large vertically stacked headlamps are pushed to the outer edges of the body and have a detailed, jeweled appearance that reinforces the trucks’ refinement. A chrome bumper is standard on LT trim level models, while LTZ trim level models receive body-color bumpers. Silverado models are offered with a range of 17-18 and 20in. wheels. The new Silverado features two completely distinct interiors to meet the diverse needs of today’s pickup consumer. The WT and LT trim levels feature the pure pickup interior and the LTZ trim level features the same luxury-inspired interior that is currently available on Chevrolet’s LTZ-trim full-size sport utilities.Silverado models are more spacious inside, with increased storage capacity. The new interior is enhanced with new ‘low and forward’ instrument panel. The instrument panel offered as part of the LTZ trim level is 5in. lower and farther forward than before. The WT and LT trim level features and instrument panel that is 3.5in. lower and farther forward. The pure pickup interior offered on WT and LT trim levels features larger controls and door handles that are easier to use with gloves. A large-capacity, double glove box is integrated into the instrument pane. Cloth seats are standard on WT and LT models; leather seating is available on LT models along with a six-way, power-adjustable driver seat. A new, lockable in-seat storage bin is built into a new 40/20/40-split bench; it is large enough to store a laptop computer and features a 12-volt power outlet. WT models are offered in dark titanium interior color; LT models are offered in ebony or ebony/light titanium and ebony/light cashmere combinations.

LTZ models feature a luxury-inspired interior with a unique instrument panels, door panels, larger-capacity center console that offers 20.1 liters of undivided storage and other distinct trim. A heated, 12-way, power-adjustable leather driver seat is standard, along with a six-CD/MP3-capable audio system, Bose speaker system, and heated windshield washer system. Crew cab LTZ models add rain-sensing automatic windshield wipers, a rear-seat audio system and large glove box that offers approximately 5-liters of storage space. LTZ interior color schemes include ebony, dark titanium/light titanium and ebony/light cashmere combinations.

The rear seats for crew cab and extended cab models are improved with more supportive cushion material, firmer support structures and revised seat back angles. Extended cab models offer more legroom. Standard on crew cab models, and available on extended cab models is a new, stadium-style rear seat with a 60/40-split design and folding center armrest. It can be folded up easily with one hand, without using a release handle, to provide an uninterrupted load floor with security. Or, either section of the split seat can be stowed independently, allowing room for both cargo and a rear-seat passenger.

Entry to the rear seat/storage area of extended cab models is eased with new rear access doors that open 170-degrees. Power-operated rear side windows lower completely. A power sliding rear window is optional on extended and crew cab models.

Built on GM’s new full-size truck platform, the ’07 Silverado incorporates features such as a new, fully boxed frame, coil-over shock front suspension and rack & pinion steering.

It supports wider front and rear tracks-3in. up front and 1in. in the rear-that enhances stability and driving confidence through a more secure and precise road feel.

Response ride and handling traits deliver a heightened feeling of control while supporting class-leading capability, including segment-best towing capacity of 10,500lbs. and a maximum payload of 2,160lbs.

The front suspension consists of an all-new, coil-over-monotube shock design that delivers linear, solid and unwavering ride-and-handling characteristics on all road surfaces. The new rack and pinion steering system provides precise and responsive control and feedback with enhanced on-center feel. A revised Hotchkis-type solid axle setup with semi-elliptic, variable-rate, two-stage multi-leaf springs and splayed monotube shocks keep the rear suspension in line and solidly plated. You have a choice of five suspension system, each tailored to suit your specific driving needs and requirements.

A high-capacity brake system with a new, four-channel ABS system provides superior stopping power. ABS is standard on all models and is linked to the Stabili-Trak electronic stability control system to help mitigate the occurrence of rollover events.

GM’s sophisticated Stabili-Trak electronic stability control system is standard on Crew Cab models and optional on extended cab models, and is a segment exclusive. Working with the new brake system and new ABS system, the system provides more precise controlled ABS stops, as well as enhanced traction/yaw stability. I was surprised to find that my $43,000.00 test Silverado came with drum brakes in the rear. I would think that a pickup trucks costing this much money would come standard with 4-wheel disc brakes.

They did a very good job nonetheless.

The new Silverado is powered by one of the largest and most powerful engine choices in the segment. These include the 4.3 liter V6 rated at 195hp and 260lb.ft. of torque, a 4.8 liter V8 making 295hp and 305lb.ft. of torque, a 5.3 liter Flex Fuel V8 making 315hp and 338lb.ft. of toque, a 5.3 liter Flex Fuel and Active Fuel Management, and a 6.0 liter V8 aluminum block with VVT making 367hp and 375lb.ft. of torque.

These engines are backed up with the proven GM Hydra-Matic electronically controlled automatic transmission. The maximum trailering package combines the 6.0 liter V8, 4L70 heavy-duty 4-speed automatic, heavy-duty 9.5in. rear axle, locking differential, 4:10 axle ratio, heavy-duty cooling system and other enhanced features to enable the segment-best towing capacity of 10,500lbs.

Silverado delivers 360 degrees of safety protection through a stronger frame and body structure as well as industry-and segment-leading technology including Stabili-Trak, roof-mounted head curtain side air-bags which are integrated into the strengthened chassis and body structure. Daytime Running Lights and OnStar further enhance the total safety inside the new Silverado.

Standard features in my LTZ 4X4 Crew Cab model include front tow hooks, cargo box illumination, front fog lamps, auto dual-zone climate control, rear window defogger, 60/40 split rear bench seat, AM-FM stereo with 6-CD changer, intermittent wipers, 6-gauge cluster, dual 12-volt power outlets, tilt steering wheel, cruise-control, dual map lamps with theater dimming, power-remote/heated side mirrors, electro-chromic rearview mirror and thick-pile carpeting. My LTZ model came with these options at no extra charge-12-way power heated front bucket seats with leather surfaces, universal home remote, heated washer fluid, rain-sensing wipers, remote vehicle start, rear sonar parking assist, locking rear differential, power locks and windows, leather wrapped steering wheel, remote keyless entry and Autotrac transfer case for the 4X4 system. Options on board included DVD navigation with CD/DVD/MP3 capability, 20X9in. machined wheels and tires, rear seat DVD entertainment system, electric sliding sunroof, power-sliding rear window and XM Satellite radio. Starting price for a 2007 Silverado 1500 4WD Crew Cab LTZ is $38,090.00 and my loaded model stickered for $44,824.00 without destination.

This latest generation Chevy Silverado will keep the brand on the top of every full-size pickup truck consumer. It has it all to keep any pickup truck enthusiast happy.

I like that 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, very luxurious. And it looks really tough and powerful. If I’d be able to have one, I might get all the information and parts I need to preserve its performance for the longest time possible. I would make it the toughest with even the simplest parts it could have

Ways to Influence People Online and Make Them Take Action
Influence can be defined as the power exerted over the minds and behavior of others. A power that can affect, persuade and cause changes to someone or something. In order to influence people, you first need to discover what is already influencing them. What makes them tick? What do they care about? We need some leverage to work with when we’re trying to change how people think and behave.
