It would be a dream if the future of our cars used water for power and actually cleaned the air as you drove it. No more high gas prices, no more pollutants, what a dream right? Well, this dream is not too far off because BMW already has a car that does exactly this.

Many people have heard about the BMW 7-Series Hydrogen powered car. Well, BMW is further developing this vehicle in preparation to actually sell it one day. They recently tested the output of emissions and could not get an actual reading thus stating that it cleans the air. Basically, the cars engine breaks down and converts carbon monoxide which in return cleans the air as you drive it.

BMW M3 Video: BMW M3 Convertible Commercial Making Fun Of Mercedes Benz SL

This has not aired in the US yet but it is defiantly a funny commercial. Our friends at BMW Blog posted this a few days ago and we thought we would share with our viewers.

In the video the girl in the Benz asks the guy (in German) to make a wish. Well, after that boring drive in the Mercedes Benz the guy makes his wish for something a lot more exciting, it comes true and you can see the end result in the video.

Enjoy!

AutomotiveAddicts had the chance to go to and be a sponsor of the 2008 Poker Run in Orlando, FL May 24th 2008 hosted by CFBMW.org. The organizers of this year’s poker run did an excellent job setting up such a great and memorable event. We would like to thank them for having Angel Flight on board and the ability to raise a considerable amount for a good cause.

The event started off with a huge gathering in a parking lot at the Orlando, FL executive airport. We counted over 100 cars at the start of the event. The mapped out course included hills, twisties and blind corners that required some skill to maneuver in a spirited manor. All thought we were all able to keep ourselves out of the hands of the law, some did get a chance to talk to a highway patrolman, we wont disclose the reasons for the conversation.

We look forward to next year’s poker run among other events held by CFBMW.org and other automotive enthusiasts groups in the Florida area.

Take the time to view some of the images captured at the beginning of the event.

Looks like someone stretched out an image of the new BMW M3 E92 – PHOTOSHOP!

Our friends at BMWBLOG posted this a couple days ago where one of the readers found this image online. This suspicious image is starting to float around the internet dubbed as a BMW M1 prototype. Could be a photoshop, could be real, only time will tell. We lightened up the image to be a little easier on your eyes.

Garage419 – Debate The Nissan GTR, BMW 135i (Tii) and Max Mosley

The guys at Garage419 have surly made a name for themselves.

One of the guys at The Automotive Addicts Blog ran across the Garage419.com website and was very impressed with some of the episodes and the banter of “educated car talk” that was happening at Garage 419. So here is a clip of one of their episodes done just recently about some pretty hot topics in the automotive world.

Do you agree or disagree? Hmm, they have some valid points about the new Nissan GT-R and we would have to agree with most of what they have to say. On another note, would you buy a pimped out BMW 1-series that was pimped out by BMW in a Tii version with a higher price?

Garage 419 has it all covered in this excellent episode of Debating The Nissan GTR, BMW 135i and Max Mosley.

BMW M3 Revolution Commercial

BMW is known for revolutionary and benchmark setting vehicles. Now they are known for revolutionary commercials. Here is the cutout of a cylinder in the new BMW M3 (E92) demonstrating slow motion of the new V8 piston chamber spraying fuel and then igniting. Very complex direction of this new commercial.

The “Revolution” spot created by Austin-based GSD&M Idea City incorporates unprecedented technology to film the combustion process of a BMW M3 V8 engine without using computer generated effects.

Filming the process was not easy. Manifolds were cut, cylinders shaved, and lighting holes were drilled in three complete M3 V8 engines for Director Raf Wathion to use special cameras and lenses to capture the action.
